  • Alkaline Phosphatase (ALP)
    ALP is an enzyme found in both your liver and your bones.   • Aspartate Aminotransferase (AST)
    AST is another liver enzyme, but unlike ALT, it’s also found in your muscles and heart. That means an elevated AST could reflect liver stress, muscle injury, or another source of tissue damage, which is why it’s typically read together with ALT to help narrow down the likely cause.
  • Bilirubin

The name of the test: Each line represents a specific measurement from your panel, such as blood urea nitrogen (BUN), calcium, or alanine aminotransferase (ALT). 

Your result: The value measured from your blood sample. 

The unit of measure: Units such as mg/dL (milligrams per deciliter) or mmol/L (millimoles per liter) indicate the concentration of a substance in your blood. 

The reference range: The range considered typical for that specific test. Because reference ranges can differ slightly between laboratories, it’s best to compare your result with the range provided on your own report rather than a general value found online.
